This has worked for some

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Links 2003\LinksTour
3. Double click on the Server key and change the value from server.lspn.net to http://www.lspn.net ( you don't need the http:// start with www)
4. Close the Registry Editor
5. Start Links 2003 and you will be connected to the new server

I can see someone not that good with computers fooling around in the Registry and messing up their system.

Just saying ...

That's true, Jim. Don't mess with the registry it if you don't know what you're doing.

Funny nobody worried about that in January when it was published in the server transfer thread. I only reversed the 3rd step destinations around. If one rereads the 1st couple of pages of that thread it becomes obvious this problem arises from server. vs.www since Mark said both would work which is true as long as the site is certified. Those with server have issues but those with www don't.
Except Roy...God only knows what the problem is on his ancient setup, i doubt it has anything to do with this since his problem started days later.

hi, got the fix from Johnny877 who guided me with good directions. It seems that the server had to BE changed in the registry from server.lspn.net to http://WWW.lspn.net. After making the chANGE i WAS ALLLOWED BACK INTO THE GAME. For those who tried to help I say thanks and to those who are having a problem like I did, that is the solution....Rich ( ds32240
