IRL in the Scottish Highlands

Greetings all,

Have only been playing irregularly for a while, but you won't see me on the boards for the next couple of weeks for a good reason. A group of 8 from my club (our head pro plus six other members and me) will be teeing it up in the Scottish Highlands Sept. 8-12. Our schedule is ambitious. 6 rounds in five days

Sept. 8: Brora
Sept. 9: Castle Stuart and Nairn (the 36 hole day)
Sept. 10 Royal Dornoch
Sept. 11 Royal Aberdeen
Sept. 12 Cruden Bay

Since I normally walk with a push cart when I play (unless it's too hot), I think I'll be okay for the walking though it's been a long time since I've played 36 in a day. We are supposed to have caddies.

It has apparently been dry in Scotland this summer, but the fall showers have started up. Hopefully my rain gear will be up for the test.

When I get back perhaps I'll figure out how to put a picture or two on the board.

Cheers,

Ronnie

Nice Ronnie, I wonder how many of us here are still playing golf. I know I haven't played in a year and a half. My back gets real sore after if I try killing the driver. :( I have a cage in my back like Tiger. I'm sure if I do my exercises like I should be doing that it wouldn't hurt as bad. I think I hurt my back when I was doing a lot of Marathons and long distance running. It was soon after I ran a 50 miler in Miami that I had my first back spasm.

Anyway, have a good time Ronnie, wish it was me going.
