Courses not Recognised

Postby jeff1955 on Thu Jul 10, 2025 2:52 am

Hi All,

Over the last few weeks I've had a couple of problems getting courses recognised in online play. I have downloaded and installed several and they all work just fine in offline Play and Practice modes and online tournaments but a couple stubbornly aren't recognised online in the Amanti and Century Club Leagues, Morar Dunes and Hales North Course being the latest. I stress that ALL newly installed courses work just fine both off and online EXCEPT the two crz's mentioned and am totally stumped why the vast majority of courses run just fine but a few throw up this problem. I am beginning to dread the Course not found message and wonder if any of you have any thoughts?

I would contact the moderators of those leagues to see if they have a solution.

Use the "Course Manager" in Links and get the Course ID* for each course. (Also list the name of the two courses and allow the folks reading your post to maybe help you.) There are reasonable possible answers to your problem that I can think of.

A what-if situation:
1. A course was released at LinksCorner.org, and the supporting files at your Tournament sites were updated when they received notification of their release. Everything to this point was Ok.
2.But then, what-if a problem was spotted that required the course designer to make a late change. He made the late change, re-did sending the course to CourseCorner.org for its release, but some part of the rest of the process to keep the other supporting files correct didn't get done right.

You will have to match the Course-ID* of each course at LinksCorner.org (2 courses) against the Course-ID* of the 2 courses that your Tournament sites are looking for. The programs involved will look for the Course-ID to know that it has gotten the correct one. [If your name was Jack Black, people who don't know you use your name to IDentify you. The 3 items in Course-ID are what electronic devices use to IDentify a Links Course.]

Course-ID =
Course Name: True Blue Golf Club (example)

Course Key: 5e982e11f6b424f5ecadc148815f4a10
