Haven't played this course yet but serious question ,what makes a top course on Links? What makes this one the best you have played? I've never really thought about it before and just wonder what the criteria is to get such an accolade.

I guess we all see courses different. I found this course unplayable for me. I DQ'ed myself after 9 holes and deleted the course. I'm sure the designer put a lot of work and time into the course, but for me it was unplayable.

Wow that's 2 extremes for sure. What made it unplayable for you Steve?

As least the 1st 9 hole are pretty, but I found that the way he put the tee, many tee shots were blocked by trees. it just didn't set up to where I could get a shot to the fairways or greens. I find very very few courses that fall into this category for me, I play what I start, but this course drove me so nuts after 9 hole I quit, DQ'd and deleted the course.

I downloaded it yesterday and played a practice rd. It was nothing special that other courses didn't have. As far as things in the way off the tee I did not see any. Then again, you guys play your rounds from the ladies tees so things may be different.

Just played the first 2 rounds on the event with that course to play. Have to agree it looks great. Only played it though from ladies tees so hard to say much until played from the back tees.

Wonder though if Steve's reaction wasnt about the first round of the event at the Amsterdam course. Definitely some poor places for the Tees

off the back tees Steve, its a clear shot to the fairways......
i certainly agree with you there ......off the Ladies in the ATA Henning Special, i got frustrated with some holes being blocked and ending up with a non-competitive score :x
