I mean absolutely no disrespect to Steven Lucey but I've decided to stick with Waialae Country Club over Waialae Country Club 2019 v2. The seam blends in Steven's update are better but I didn't see enough improvement to switch.
AFTER FURTHER REVIEW, I've decided to use Waialae Country Club 2019 v2 by Steven Lucey. I've meticulously gone through 4 times and feel good all the pin positions will be fair.
When I go through, I use FIRM(C)/FAST(C) to make certain there are no roll backs or run offs. Max conditions for next week is MODERATE(C)/FAST(C). Of course, there will be non-C also as always.
This is what I submitted to Mark. 2509 is definitely v2. From what I can see, it looks like Mark used 2019, but maybe not 2019 V2. If he used 2019 and the pin positions were changed between 2109 and 2019 V2, I suppose there could be a problem.
Regarding V2, I must say there are some added palm trees that simply do not exist on that course.
It looks like Steve Lucey took some palms that maybe would be pigmy palms of about 2-3 feet and blew them up to 20-30 feet.
I can't say they came into play for me, but I'm watching on TV and they're just not there. The worst offender was on the back nine, but I cannot exactly remember the hole.
It's fine and without doubt, it was a better choice than 1835 ID course. I must say I should have at least tested the 2620 course of Tim Hagen. I just didn't see it.
