Right click on the Videocard. txt file
Select properties then security tab
Select Edit then Users(your name)
Check off boxes(full control, modify, read & execute, read, write) then click apply
Ok your way out
And then try adding the line again

I was able to accomplish all that and the picture came out so 'grainy' that I almost couldn't see it. Trust me, I appreciate the help. I changed it back.

Did you add any flags under your card? If so take them out. I've been doing the same and just have the card info only.

If none of this helps, it may be worthwhile to buy a add on card.
I just went out today and purchased a GeForce 210 card with 1024mb DDR3 PCI express that allows multiple monitors for $32.00
installed and ALL IS GREAT! Only game I play is Links and well worth it to see it playing correctly!

I'm not very computer savvy. I wouldn't have a clue about installing a new video card.

Easy enough! Now all I need to don't is figure out what brand/type of card to get.

open your tower and look for which slots you have, I had only 1 labeled PCIE x 16 then go from there.

This is the best news yet. Everytime somebody asks me what brand or type of computer to buy to play Links -- I always tell them to make sure it has a separate video card. :)
They are easy enough to install --- BassMaster should have no problems doing what you did Gibby.

So, the question is, "what kind of video card do I invest in?" I want to be sure to 'upgrade' from the current Intel(R) HD 4400.

I would think anything under $50.00 is/would be a improvement.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... IsNodeId=1
I set it for under $50 with cooling fan, you'll notice EVGA and Nvidia are about the same.
Everything else I do looks the same as b-4 with the new card, both monitors are working fine.
I don't watch movies or tv on computer so not sure how it would look but Nvidia control panel supports it.
The 1 I bought has VGA, DVI and HDMI ports for monitors/tv (only can use 2)
I have a security camera system that records to a SD card that I watch/scan thru using media player and looks/works fine.
Basic computer, I surf the net, do my banking, play Links, my wife works from home sometimes and connects remotely.
Unless your doing some extreme stuff your not going to see anything different except Links playing extremely well 8)

If need be do a search for (Intel(R) HD 4400 vs NVidia) or (Intel(R) HD 4400 vs AMD) at least you'll see the differences

Rick, not sure what your best bet is, My last desktop had Intel graphics and worked ok for links, as the graphics acted up I installed a Nvidia 5200 card (low end) and it worked well. When that system went I purchased a laptop also with Intel and got lucky that Links played good. This last 1 also came with Intel and I hoped it would work for the price, wasn't spending extra for better graphics kindda knowing I could update card somewhat cheaply.

I just finished installing a GeForce 730 video card 1024mb DDR3. Links crashed on the first start up but then re-started. Graphics looks good. I have it on the 1440x900 setting right now. Will play some golf later.

Oh yeah, I do appreciate the help. It cost me $60 but all seems real good right now. I did switch back to 1280x768 64 bit. It has a larger swing meter.
