Well I have went to all the web sites you suggested and down loaded the 1.05software and the test site with links 2003 fix and still get the same error of error 404 code 15. I give up. The only other thing I can think of is in ny2003 links game at the connection screen my proxy setting is lstour.colorshift-inc.com is this correct.

you haven't run the proper installer

Postby HeavySwinger on Tue Nov 21, 2006 5:51 pm

If you had run the proper installer here, the server would be http://www.lspn.net

http://www.lspn.net/testing/LSTour_LSPN.exe

After you click on the above and run the installer your registry should be changed to reflect the proper server. If it doesn't work, you may have installed Links in a non-standard way such that the installer was confused. You can try reading this post to see if it helps:

does anyone notice anything interesting here? we went years without anyone ever putting anything in the proxy field, and now they're coming outta the woodwork. what's going on?

pscote, uncheck 'use system internet settings', check 'connect through lan or connect manually' (even if you're on dialup), and uncheck 'use proxy server'. then install the lstour_lspn reg thingy heavyswinger suggested. you're good to go.
