Click begin play & game drops to desktop

alwyys sumething...the latest is after i've reached the point where i pick a tournanament & click begin play & normally would pick a golfer & begin play ....the game drops to desktop, no error message, nuttin....as asual , any & all help is greatly appreciated, thnx
