really long story to how i came to post this, but i'll give you guys the short version. i was gonna post the windows updates that came out the other day. there were scads of them. but we've kinda come to the conclusion there aren't many here interested in updates.

then i was reading a cool article by the elder geek regarding windows updates. that might give you guys the impetus to at least consider keeping up with the security updates.

then i started thinking how fantastic it would be if black viper came back. viola!!!

edit: anyone interested in tuning vista and eliminating those infernal user level security prompts, read what black viper has to say.

edit #2: i went the lazy route, and simply turned user level security off. not too smart. but you can actually turn the prompts off, without circumventing security.
