Recently had to uninstall/reinstall links 03

Postby VanHalen2 on Sat Mar 24, 2007 2:04 pm

Terrell,
Recently had to uninstall links/reinstall links 03 due to a IE error report that came on after my final putt on 18 @Xilver. I generally tab/alt that message to minimise the game, then either hit the send/don't send. Well I didn't tab it and the game disappeared. However each game therafter, on the same spot 18th hole, final putt, game stat's don't send, so I thought only way to get that out was to uninstall/reinstall game.
Having done that,I did patch 1/02, then 1.05 final 1. Then that lspn tourLSPN tour switch patch.
However getting into the game/online/links tour I am getting a new error code message saying
Make sure you have IE 5.0 or higher installed ,then try agin.
Did I miss a patch between the install of the game,1.02 patch , and the 1.05 final patch that keeps my IE from getting to the site? Or was that regedit thing that we did before the final thing necessary to get on.
Thanks in advance,

VanHalen

i think the ie thingy was a result of a corrupted v1.05 patch. delete the one ya got, redownload v1.05 again from here:

http://linkscountryclub.com/

and don't use a download accelerator, e.g. getright.

that's my story, and i'm sticking to it. (8

I'd just like to ad that it is unnecessary to download each patch in succession.

All you need is the v1.05 patch and the LSPN Tour Site patch. Don't bother with the v1.02 patch, as that is covered in the v1.05 version.

with all due respect, lou, i can't entirely agree with no one needs v1.02. i remember several posts, back when v1.05 came out, peeps stating they needed v1.02 first. don't shoot the messenger, i'm with you, i didn't need v1.02 before applying v1.05. i'm just sayin'...
