I haven't played in a long time and have since changed all my pc gear. I used to have a perfectly smooth meter several years ago. Recently I reloaded my game (from the disk) to my new computer, and I even upgraded the video card to an NVidia 5200. But I CANNOT get a smooth meter! It's playable, but not at all what I want, sometimes better than others but mostly bad. Worst thing is the quick slow down right before the 6 snap and I hit between 6 and 7 o'clock most often, but then it sometimes skips past 6 to near 5'oclock before it registers. It also gets jumpy near the top and it sometimes registers near 1 'clock when it seems like I hit it 1 pixel past 12. My timing is a little rusty, but this is not a normal meter (trust me )
I've shut down all unnecessary game options, defragged, disk cleanup, spybot cleaner, etc. I've shut down programs from my system tray and even do Task Manager and make sure everything under Applications is closed. In my system tray all I have is a volume icon, Nvidea icon, and my Nortons icon with the red x (red x from diabling auto protect). Meter is the same quality whether I am online or offline.
Any ideas besides getting a new computer?????
