playing on 2 separate computers

Postby Petebud on Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:52 pm

is it possible to play on 2 separate computers? I usually play on a desktop, but now find myself away from the desktop from time to time and now able to use a laptop while traveling. When i installed the game on the laptop everything went fine. i was able to start the game and login to the tourney screen, i am able to view the standings and everything, except it dosen't show the rounds i've completed [with the usual green ball, red flag icon] is this a glitch, can it be fixe, i was afraid to start a new round.

Thank you

As soon as you finish a round on your second computer, it will show the other completed rounds from previous play in that tourney.

I play Links 2003 golf on two different computers. The house computer and my laptop. If I finish a round on my house computer and then play the next round out in my shop on the laptop, at first the laptop will not show the notification of the previous played on the house computer as being played. No big deal, you'll get use to it.

I have a desktop computer where I usually play Links from the LSPN site.
I also have a laptop where some Links are played.
My desktop in for repair, so I tried to play LSPN rounds on my laptop.
I go to the logon screen & the connection status keeps telling me I'm not registered.
How can fix this & still play on my returning desktop & my laptop?
Thanks

Have you run this on your laptop?:

Thanks for the comeback.
The address above downloads this: "LSPN_MAIN_L2K3.exe" which I'm pretty sure I've ran ages ago.
I ran it again & got the same problem as noted below:
<<I go to the logon screen & the connection status keeps telling me I'm not registered.>>
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Are you sure your player ID and password are set correctly on your laptop?

Hiya [censored] -
You have to run the server switch patch that is posted above. Just because it says LinksMain doesn't mean that it it the main patch.
Mark switch servers several years ago and to get to the game from Links you must run this patch.

Don't know what I did differently, but I tried to get into Connection again, reinserted same password
& it worked, dialog "welcome to LSPN" came up.

Unfortunately the skill level doesn't come up as "any". I have to manual change it to "pro" to see the available tournaments.
And it doesn't show the 2 rounds that I played in UK Memorial 2013 tournament.

Thanks for all your help! :D
