Windows 10 Links startup

Postby Harpo on Tue Jul 04, 2017 8:04 am

Ok, just bought a new pc. Installed Links + 1.07 patch. I can run Links but every time I double click the icon to start it up it ask for administration rights to alter the program like it does when you load a new program. When I say OK it opens the program but would still like to get rid of it doing that. Am I missing a patch?

Edit: I'm running it in Window's Visa compatibility mode and as administrator.

I am also running onboard Intel HD Graphics 630. Finally got it to work but have no aiming stick in other windows other than the main one. Also tracer only works in main window. I mainly play elite so not too much of a problem there yet.

Do you have a G:/ drive? I think that gets rid of the boxes choice to start the game. If you have a G:/ drive, change it to another letter.
Before somebody figured that out - a long time ago - I had that window and all I did was keep a movie DVD in the drive and it worked out for me. Never saw that choice window again.

Harpo, if you actually got it running in Windows 10, s-uck it up, and do what works.
