windows 10?

Postby ds3224 on Tue Feb 16, 2016 9:12 am

I have Windows 7 now and my links game works great. Does anyone have Windows 10 and how does it affect the Links 03 game if at all. I don't want to download windows 10 and have it not compatible with the Links game which I play every day. Any imfo will be appreciated. thanks, Rich ( parman )

I've had Windows 10 since this past summer with no major issues. Just minor graphic adjustments. Swing meter is very smooth. I play it on a 5 yr old laptop!!

I just purchased a used computer that originally came with Vista, then had Windows 7 installed, which was subsequently upgraded to 10. I installed Links, and it plays perfectly.

At the ripe ole' age of 73, I have always remembered my fathers teachings. He said," If it ain't broke, don't fix it", LOL. that is why I am so scared to go from my windows 7 where the game plays perfectly to windows 10....

Links played fine when I upgraded to 10, just 10 is a pain in the arse with other things

If you have a regular desktop computer i would strongly recommend that you keep windows 7.

Yeah, like the fact that you have no control over updates. And unless Cortana can hand me a beer, choose the right golf club for the shot, or discuss college sports with me, I have no use for her.

I couldn't get Links to work with 10, so I went back to 7.

I haven't done the Windows 10 thing and probably won't. But when I went from Windows 8 to 8.1 in my laptop I had all kinds of trouble with Links. Never did complete a game. Went back to windows 8 on the laptop and I'm happy with Windows Home Premium 7 up here in the house.

if you want to stop windows 10 from automatically updating here is how:

1/ go to settings 2/ select Network and Internet 3/ scroll to bottom and select "Advanced Options" 4/ Enable the " Set as Metered Connection" option.

When you want to check for updates, go to settings/ Updates and Security/ check for updates...

To prevent automatic restarts: advanced Options/ check how updates are installed/ choose " notify to schedule install".....
