Can't join game

Hi all...bother and me are trying to play links online, when we get in where i click "join a game"..it is not highlighted, how can i fix this problem?

Your brother must have the game loaded up and a direct connection game open via the create game button. Then you must type his IP address into the window at the bottom of the screen. You'll soon see his open room in the larger window above the one you typed in the IP address, highlight your brothers game and the join game button will turn white as soon as your two computers synch up.
