Links Sports.NET

I tried to join a game. I downloaded the LSTART file. First, I had Links 2003 minimized. Then again
without it minimized. Each time I got the
Error message:

Egolaunch !
Direct play could not be launched: 887703f2 failed to start application

Links started just fine on its own.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

I get "file not found" error after downloading the launcher file. I have a zillion ports open. Use Firefox. No pop up blocker, firewall off. What gives?

OK, through searching, someone posted that if your user name has a space in it, the download to launch will not work. My original was Mahogany Rush and now it is mahoganyrush. It worked after I re-registered. Also I noticed you must wait a few seconds after the start button appears AND about 20 seconds before trying to open the downloaded launcher file (remember where you download it to) . If it gives you an error, just try again in a few seconds. This works great for me...for now. Now I just need to remember how to putt!!!

I installed version 1.06 but when game launches it opens version 1.05 on my end which doesn't seem to be compatable. Can someone provide some insight. I'm new to this network and would like to play if I can get it to work.

You need ver 1.07 to play here http://www.lspn.net/downloads/Links2k3_107_Final.exe

Please help me with this spam . I am getting some very strange E-Mails

I keep on getting the illusive "The DirectPlay game could not be launched: 8877041a Failed to start application." error. My friend has a similar rig to mine and his launcher works. So far we've determined that the launcher isn't able to locate my Links 2003 installation as the gameslist.txt has zero size. If I try to run egolaunch.exe with join.txt as a parameter manually, it crashes after "Looking in default directory" messages. On its own Links starts and Direct Connection within the game works.

Can someone help?

I'm using Win7 64bit week old install.
