Postby owntor on Mon Dec 18, 2006 10:20 am

Hello, :D

I would suggest we have statistics like these (from PGA Tour) or even more granular on tour:

• Stat Recap
• Money Leaders
• Official World Golf Ranking
• All-Around Ranking
• World Money List
• Non-Member Earnings
• Top 10 Finishes
• Career Money Leaders
• Career Earnings

• Total Driving
• Longest Drive
• Driving Distance
• Driving Accuracy Percentage
• Ball Striking

• Greens in Regulation Pct.
• Putts Per Round
• Putting Average
• Sand Save Percentage
• Scrambling
• Bounce Back
• Consecutive # of Cuts

• Total Eagles
• Eagles (Holes per)
• Total Birdies
• Birdie Average
• Par 3 Birdie Leaders
• Par 4 Birdie Leaders
• Par 5 Birdie Leaders
• Birdie Conversion %

• Scoring Average
• Scoring Avg (actual)
• Scoring Avg Before Cut
• Scoring Avg 3rd Rnd
• Scoring Avg Final Rnd

• Par Breakers
• Par 3 Performance
• Par 4 Performance
• Par 5 Performance

• Presidents Cup Eligibility
• Presidents Cup (International)
• PGA Championship Points
• Ryder Cup Points

• West Coast Swing Standings
• Fall Finish Standings

I would also like to see conditional stats such as rough penalty.

thanks! :D

Speaking of statistics, on the old site, one of the stats was number of penalty strokes, but it never showed the penalty strokes taken. I would know, since I have had some rounds with lots of them. Don't know if this can be fixed or not.

personally, i'd like to see no stats. since i've been playing this pre-season, no one sees my short drives, low percentage of fairways/greens hit, abysmal putting. if we were being flighted, i'd hafta endure the agony of being the only z flighter.

yes, owntor, i play tons. but i'm very shy about people watching me. it's a burden i must bear (bare?).

sidenote: there were two guys standing behind as i typed that. they're now literally rolling around on my floor laughing (and it wasn't about the bear/bare thing).

in all seriousness: it's great to ask for the earth, moon, and stars. but ya gotta remember there are only a coupla volunteers, working in their spare time, building this tour, maintaining the hardware/software, and administering these forums...for free. i'm just d a m n (is it me, or is the frelling censor bot getting worse?) glad we have tournaments to play in, and i'm able to verbally joust with you guys occasionally.

but, then again, asking is free.

Not sure but those penalty strokes you are refering to was not for play during the game, it was for requalification abusers

the only significant stat that we never saw on our side of the looking glass on the old tour, was who was using the free reQs and how often. the tour itself could track this stat, but we never got a look at this potentially very revealing number. other than that, the player stat format of the old site was fairly all encompassing and spoke volumes to anyone who took the time to look at those stats analytically. lw

I would agree, the stats on the old site were excellent! Much better than any stats found on a TV tour. :)
