NY State of Mind

Tried this tourny set up thing again. I tried to take into account the slopes on some of the greens, and use them to create some unique shot opportunities. Hopefully they are all playable.

Also, I initially had wanted to use a different course, but can't remember the name. I think it's in NY also, had lots of blind shots and elevation changes. I think there was some thick rough, a highway that could be seen from one tee (18?) and was based off a real course that is no longer operational. At any rate, if that pinpoint description should trigger someone's memory, I'd like to play around with that one too.

The Belfrey International by Harley Dixon. Check out the ReadMe provided with it, a very interesting history behind it.

Good luck with some of those pins on that one...

kudos for giving it the old college try, shawn. i'm a huge fan of new york memorial. but alas, the pin on 5 is the epitome of a bad pin (my criteria is a putt should stop somewhere in a 3 foot circle around the hole). 4 was iffy, but i drilled a very unlikely bender. i'm not sure where the ball would have stopped had i missed (it's simply against my religion, unorthodox pedestrian, to sit here putting at one hole all day).

sorry about not being able to help with the other course. ask me the vertical acceleration of the african s w a l l o w (fracking censor bot!) and i probably can rattle an algorithm off the top of my head (at least i think that's what that rattling is). (8

A nice layout, abandoned or not. It surprises me it isn't used here more.

Found a reference you might want to look at, if you go through with it.
Hope you do give it a shot. I'd like to see what you come up with -I'd wager many more here would, too.
Sarge is very much 'on point' in the first post here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6842

Thanks.

I must have mixed the pin #'s. The pin on 5 was wrong, and so was the one on 7. :( Wish we could go in and "fix" or delete events.

Would appear I threw away the scratch paper that had the pin #'s on it.

Go to the previous events page, right click on the event in question. Under properties/General Tab (under Address [URL] properties), note the 5 digit number in the URL, this is the LSPN event number. PM Mark with this info and he will be able to send you the pins that were used. 8)

Nice sig, EB.
Btw, since when did you start worrying about any Arcade Challenging conditions events?

Anyways, BarryObamics is the r oo t of ALL of our problems nowadays, I get it...

Don't call Reagan a great president. He was far from it. To name a highway after him is nothing short of a joke to the American taxpayer.
A president once known for vetoing a highway bill because it had 150 earmarks, is given the honor of having a stretch of road with a $2.3 million earmark -for LANDSCAPING purposes.
Where, you ask? That's right, on the Ronald Reagan Freeway in California. Nice pick, Ernie.

A bigger reason I can't stand the Reagan praise-onomics: his irrational thinking on yanking our troops of of Lebanon.
We left the Lebanese people at the worst time back then. Now let's talk about a guy named Assad...
We could have nipped this problem early in the bud back in those days -now look at what's going on over there...
We should have spent the $$$ then. It's too late now.
No prez (current or future), can fix that mess Reagan's thinking then, got us into the mess there now...

How about Nicaragua, where Reagan supported Contra terrorists who attacked schools/medical clinics, and leveled villages full of innocents...

Then there's El Salvador, where Reagan supported death squads that killed religious/union leaders there, or anyone who challenged that government. Go Reaganomics!!!

Or Afghanistan, where Reagan used that country against the Soviets for his own personal record. He knew dam well the Soviets couldn't get the job done. But he had to show the world he's a tough guy, instead of the POS actor (as a prez) he really was.
To think they named an airport after this clown is preposterous. Insulting, actually...
And all that Afghan stuff started (according to prez Reagan) over Nancy's 'War on D r ugs'. Right  .
And you're forgetting the binLaden factor. Ronnie funneled cash to him while we were there. All that taxpayer money, and we'll get our kids of he roin, all at the same time.
All of that, all in the name of Nancy's "War on D r ugs"...right

I could go on. I have personal reasons that I hate the 'amiable dunce' jelly-bean king, but my point is made, hopefully.

Your sig's point proves nothing, except that you like to agitate.

In that respect, my hat's off to you. It worked -well played to you, sir.
The troll fishing must be off in your parts nowadays, but you knew I'd bite on this one. Amazing.

Thanks.

Wow, really? Regardless of the subject matter, if I feel I have a fast solution to a problem, I'll express it. As for my "sig", it's called humor. Lighten up comrade.

'Fair enough' on the help issue. I didn't know your knowledge of the Arcade.
Maybe you could set up some more events there. It seems that's exactly what's needed around here.

As far as the 'lighten up' goes, sorry. That's on you comrade.
You can't put out your style of humor in a sig and not expect anyone to comment on it.
I'd wager many do have an opinion, but won't say it to your face.

I simply wanted to see if you could back it up, but I didn't realize I was dealing with a comedian.

...yada yada yada -you should change your screen name to Seinfeld...

Sorry bud, I hate to admit it -I'm not Facebook savvy.
I have a hard time logging in there, let alone do anything...

I get all of my facts the old school way, from a thing called books (preferably hardcover...).

Here's my last three bookreads, all were very highly recommended to me, and I do the same now to all out there who prefer to look further than what they gather from reading all the bogus info off the 'nets:
63 Documents The Government Doesn't Want You To Read, by former Governor Jesse Ventura, Known and Unknown, by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Physics Of The Future, by Dr. Michio Kaku.

I got many more piling up that need read -someday. That doesn't 'sit too good' with the missuss though...
