Just found some interesting numbers and thought I would share.

So far there are 1,374 players who have competed in an event with 46,474 rounds played since around October 13th.

Very impressive numbers for a beta site. There can only be better times ahead

i'm impressed, and everyone knows i'm a hopeless links addict. but with the recent scoring anomalies, does anyone else feel a twinge of skepticism? if ya can't type 6 9 or 6 6 6, westview and i could be the only ones here actually playing.

I'm working on the scoring system. I'm actually rebuilding a portion of it so it's more stable and defect free. I think I worked on the initial version too quickly to get it up and running. I'm being more methodical and taking my time now.

please excuse my skeptical nature, mark. it comes from years of...uh...skepticism. (8 i have no doubts you'll get it worked out.

1300+ is not bad. we had around 1400 active individual players each week when the old indie tour site was operating normally (last winter). with all the new features, when the v1.0 site completely kicks in, there should be something to interest an even wider group of players. lw

You are doing great, Mark and the participant generated tourneys are a fine addition.

Shameless plug for match maker room

Postby HeavySwinger on Mon Nov 27, 2006 8:25 pm

In addition to the tourneys, some of us are having real fun in the match maker room. Pappy and I go in there with skype and invite a couple players to join us in an alt shot round. We then try to even out the 2 teams depending on stroke type and blind guess. This last time we had RTS and PS vs Click and PS. It was a real trip having 3 different swing types in the same foursome and all had a blast. One last observation, there are some real quality players in that room.
