this week's under the radar event at both pro and champ is at Mount Juliet, a real world course designed and built by jack nicklaus in county kilkenny ireland. the links file was originally released by William Carano in feb '02, but was given the current terrific update overhaul by acclaimed apcd designer John Aherne (esker field, k-club, hell fire gc), and released in mar '07. as of '02 mount juliet was the only course nicklaus had built in ireland (it opened in '92), and was the site of the american express golf championship in sept of '02.

mount juliet probably has more design characteristics in common with muirfield village in ohio than traditional inland irish tracks, but this is not a complaint, with all due respect to traditional irish golf courses. john supplied a very interesting repertoire of hole locations, of which, in 36 holes, we are only going to get just a glimpse. good luck. lw
