A mod ace, you say?
Let me guess ...
you hit a wormburner and it rolled 185 yards into the hole.

But seriously ... congrats on the HIO Gib.

Not quite, think it was about 145, hit a 6 iron flop shot about 154 hit about 8 yds behind pin and bit like a bandit slamed the stick and went plop. It's possible neighbors 3 doors down heard it.
Thanks guys

Excellent! I love back-em ups...Quick question...wouldn't RM be a nice course to play/practice/try the mod?

hmmmm just had a thought, in the 1985 Australian Open at Royal Melbourne they may have been playing the MOD, 'cause the Pros went on strike in one of the rounds. the Championship was eventually reduced to 3 rounds.

the greens were cut sooo fast and combined with a scorching hot day and strong northerly winds, the greens were totally unputable lol. from memory, i think Sandy Lyle walked off the course, Greg Norman sat on his golf bag on the green in a huff and wouldn't play. putting was like rolling a golf ball down a marble staircase and trying to make it stop on the third bottom step :( lol

Greg won it that year

edit: congrats on your MOD Ace
