jack, i also had a similar problem back in april or may, at royal lytham or enniscrone, where, like your own ball, mine was unbelievably stuck in a side-hill lie in the inverted face of a reveted bunker. the amazing graphic is the negative lie shown on the lower left lie meter. i don't think i birdied the hole, but as in your case, the ball came out a whole lot better than i thought possible. lw

thank goodness Larry we don't get lies like that in IRL golf. in this game tho (apart from anything is possible), a negative/hanging lie like that you would expect from the ball coming in from right to left and plugging in the sodwall, but certainly not rolling down the slope coming in from the left.

was lucky to get it out.........played it like a real champ >>>>> closed ma eyes and lashed out wildly LMAO

jack, i deserved mine (as far it goes) since it was a surprising plug of a line drive. but i executed as you did: aimed as far left as i dared considering the negative overhang, and (lol) gave it a mighty lunge. we were definitely in remote unknown territory as far as links ball striking technique goes. lw

I've had similar lies and advanced them a good ways.Looking at that lie,i'd have rotated left beyond the left edge of the green or until the lay indicator was flatter(uphill prefered),but probably 2.5 times the distance from the pin to the edge of the left side of green. Then chosen a s/w up2 and hit a fade with an extra 10-15 ticks more open with a sandy snap.Maybe you can try and replicate the shot and give my theory a try.
I've noticed a lot of players simply choose to gouge it out w/o the benefit of adjusting the club face.I've somewhat gotten used to it considering some of the places i hit it.

Fwys n greens,

Steve

Edit above recommendations. The fade only wound up right of the pin or hit the lip of the trap. After a couple minutes,i went to this...s/w back 2/draw/closed 7.Aimed at the flag...9 ft left for bird.Hope this helps you out in the future :)

Jack,
Dom worked very hard to try to get this fixed but was never able to completely eliminate it. Should have seen the crashes that it initially caused AI players at the beginning of the beta testing when they landed like that. LOL

Bad luck there Jack, don't buy any lottery tickets today!
What were the green conditions? This happened to me a couple of times, but only with Soft/Slow conditions.

Like you guys were saying...nothing really you can do except take a wild guess at the angle and distance, then put it in the oven and see how it bakes.
