at champ click, the first round hole locations at b/f/f at deere run were sometimes beyond belief. i had a couple of three putt greens in regulation where i thought i was pretty fortunate that it wasn't worse. on one green, a five putt was not beyond possibility for a skilled player. you just have to love those nasty 2k1 greens of which we haven't seen very much since the 1.06 guys have been demanding all those almost flat putting surfaces. lw

as a side note...I discovered the greens played easier the 2nd round if I just chipped or flew the ball in the hole :P

Fun indeed :D :D Important to try to get close and hand on when you can't but I am sure champ /elite with the inevitable longer putts and missed greens will be an extremely tough challenge.

Interesting ( for me anyway) comparison with Shinnecock ( USA open venue!!) where the greens are basically flat!

at first i thought shinnicock was pretty flat too, but with the right hole locations it has its share of tough putts. deere run is in a whole other catagory at f/f. lw

Pfffft, you should see what Mark has thrown at us since day 1. It's not a good time to take up the MOD for the first time in the LSPN official venues, unless you're a bondafide masochist.

Not only were you a nightmare as a moderator, you're a moderators nightmare, your grandkids must be proud, or does the law not permit you to have contact.

the second round (-9) was definitely easier, but that may have been because i wasn't (lol) sipping that guatemalan ron facapa centenario 23 year old rum as in the first (+4) round. lw
