Apologies

Postby Grey_Nomad on Wed Jul 04, 2007 10:59 pm

I apologise for not being able to complete any rounds that I've started this week. I have to leave town on family issues. Be back next week. Have fun all

You guys are being a little hard on yo_mama, he's just using a different Internet abbreviation list. In your list lol is laughing out loud, on his list lol is laboring on lunacy.

Glad everything is OK Tom. Gave me a chance to finish ahead of you for a change. :wink:

I was "laughing out loud"...because if you think about it...telling a bunch of linksters that you cant play a video game because you have family issues....seems kind of silly, don't you think? (Maybe I should've considered the crowd here). Isn't that just understood, that family comes before video games? My daughter got a cut over her eye a few months ago...but I didn't say "I cant play this links match because my daughter cut her eye last night" ...LoL. That's why I was laughing...since so many of you seemed interested in a reason.

@lama

it's not that anyone EXPECTS you to announce to this forum you're not going to be able to finish a tournament. but it's a courtesy, and it's kinda nice someone would take time out of their irl and let someone know. you are correct, irl takes precedence over a video game.

hope your daughter's eye is ok. (8

Thanks TERRELL and Dr Dave for your input - As I said originally La_MaMa - I would be out of town - this meaning not able to access my computer - therefore unable to finish what I'd started - and in my book common courtesy is just something I do

I have never known Tom to be anything other than a class act in the years I have been playing here!

Also, I was AWOL for a week or so myself busy moving to new city, so my play lately has been somewhat sporadic. Still trying to get in enough tourneys to be ranked.
