Question for Tour Admin

Postby DaveDowning on Mon Jul 02, 2007 7:01 am

I sent this question via email, but wasn't sure if admin@lspn.net accepts messages. Anyways, my son wants to join the Links tour, so we signed him up, and he can't join (under 13) until I fax in a permission form. I received an email from admin saying this, but there was no fax number or address on it! So, I'm just looking for the fax number to use so my son can start enjoying the online links tour as much as I do! Thanks.

Dave Downing

P.S. Here is the message I received:

The sad news Dave is that your son cannot play in the same tournaments that you play in. :?

Thanks for the info - I pm'd Mark.

My son will be playing in the Amateur tourney's - I'm in the pro ones. Didn't know that you couldn't play from the same computer - I have someone else who plays links in our building (I work in a school) and I believe we have occasionally played the same tournaments from the same computer - even on this new tour. Is that changing? Anyways, my son will play from home and I usually play from work!

dunno if the same rules apply nowadays, post lstour. but the purpose of the rule was to prevent peeps from playing with multiple id's in the same tournament. everyone with a pulse knew there was a roy, and there was a michael higgi. but the rule still applied. really ultra bad rule in my book, but as everything else in life, it only takes a few to mess stuff up for everyone else.

good luck, and welcome.

As I understood it 2 people playing in the same household , even if on 2 pc's as we were , were not allowed to play in the same event. Total nonsense but ...................

I guess I don't play THAT much from work, but I can get in 2 rounds a day on my 2 15-minute breaks! I have 3 machines at home so my son and I won't play on the same one. If it's true what you say, Roy, about not having 2 people from the same household play, that is bunk. My son is 9 and really wants to play - he will be near the bottom of the amateur tour for awhile, but he loves it! Anyways, I pm'd Mark and he seemed to be ok with it so hopefully all will be well. Thanks for all the comments!
