Ranking

Mark, you posted:

You must finish at least 3 LSPN events in order to be ranked. Rankings will be updated once a week on Sunday at midnight starting June 10th, 2007.

Right now we are only able to play in two events in each mode. (elite, pro ... etc) So therefore we can not be ranked on June 10th. Is this correct?

Jim, I believe Mark said rankings will not be established until after 3 tournaments.

I believe before you could play in 3 (pro) events the first week and be ranked in (Pro) that next week. I remember players playing in their flights the second week.

LW ..... ? Anyone .....?

Jim I am assuming from Marks post that 3 weeks it will take to become ranked because he only has one tournament type, be it Mod or PLSA offered in each of the difficulty levels. And also the 1st season is only 3 months long and the rest will be 6 months in duration.

This kinda makes sense IMO as a slow approach gives Mark (the One man Army) time to analyze the Stats data base for errors or to make tweaks as the tour progresses toward ranking. Once ranking occurs, I am sure flights tournaments will be added. I'm getting more excited WoooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooo!

there are two possible lspn tour events at 1.05 on offer this week, and thus it appears that flight events could only start appearing in week 3. adjusted tour scoring averages based on relative course difficulty ratings may have to wait awhile. the course difficulty rating method and its functional math requires some careful initial choices because it will affect tour rankings well into the future. that's why a short first season makes a lot of sense. lw

Oops, you're right, Jim. I'll make another tourney! I wanted to make a RAW event anyway.

You know, it's the one where you hit a driver out of a greenside bunker and remember on the downswing that you don't have a caddie.
