Test Matchplay

Postby Harpo on Tue Nov 07, 2023 6:01 pm

I have been giving the matchplay tourney a thought when it comes up in the rotation. I would take the top 16 in the Cup standings and put them in the bracket as shown below. Then match up the cards for each round and find the winner. Of course that is if all players finish their rounds as that seems to be a problem with some players. Tie matches after 18 would go to the first handicap hole and so on. I may do a test on one of the up coming weeks.

Just a thought for a change of pace.

I still don't know if I will be doing the cup thing come Jan.

Well pic was too wide but you can see the left half.

Can we play matchplay like we use to in Greenkeeps room?
Where you could play live against you opponent.

Yea, that brings back memories. I forgot all I had to do to do that. Seemed to take a long time back then but now everyone is retired I guess we all have more time. Of course I don't play 8 to 10 tourneys a week like some do. I've done 3 at the most I think.
