A 2 part question. What do you hit from deep grass from
150
160
170
180
190
an 200? Im ok from 140 in but lost on these distances.
Part 2 In the attached photo of a stupid solitare game, can it be beat?
I have set for around 2 hrs trying to manipulate things but nothing
works. I thought i would pass this on up to the guys who would know.

thanks
Doug :) :) :) :)

2 easy questions   and the answer to both is I haven't a clue.

Does deep grass always react the same? I find sometimes it comes out quite well and others it doesnt move far at all! If I get a shot from deep stuff right it's a fluke. I tend to look at what the caddy has given me and go one club less but that will also depend on the conditions and what is in front of the green or behind it.

As for the Solitaire one I don't play it so dont really understand the question

Until recently, I have never paid much attention to the Lie icon, but I'm convinced it has a lot to do with shots that don't behave like you would expect:

The bottom image can change and show the ball sitting a little deeper in the grass, just like it changes and shows a bad lie in a sand trap. That's where I first noticed it - in a sand trap. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen! And you have to use the lie along with the level indicator 2 pictures up. A high grass lie along with a downhill slope would certainly alert you to trouble if you could see it in real life - but I'm guessing that it usually doesn't get much attention in Links.

Also, I add 20% to the distance and then choose a club.

In champ mode I find if you hit the snap the shot is a bit shorter but will give more roll out from lack of back spin. Penalty for missing the snap is severe.

Long fairway traps/bunkers are what perplex me. If you hit the snap on the yellow 5 O'clock line results are still totally unpredictable.

Explosion shots around the green-- hitting near the regular 6 O'clock bar are much more predictable
