gggrrrrrrrrrr standing on 17th tee at LaTrobe with a good score under my belt SO FAR, i happen to par each of the 2 closing holes !

fer the life of me, i cannot and never HAVE, been able to handle 17 and 18 at LaTrobe !

usually on 17 i just smash it from the tee, and deliberately end up in the front greenside traps........where i HOPE to get out close and BIRDIE ! but NUP ! there must be a BETTER way ??

on the 18th, the trouble is the pin position .....towards the rear sitting on that SLOPE ! it gets me every time !! can't hack it ! usually getting a par there on 18........

oh well that's LIFE ! that's GOLF ........

That 18th is a pig Missed from 6 feet in round 1 17th i have often doe the same and played for sand and trusted the sand shot to have a chance and gtee a birdie. Strange how every so often a crazy snap from sand suddenly appears

Hitting from the sand on 17 will usually work if you remember that it's a downhill shot.
To birdie 18 you almost have to hit it to gimme range when the pin is back!

Somewhere Arnie is smiling, those two holes are very difficult, especially 18 when the pin is in the back on the side of a cliff. I feel your pain.
