Sorry But Can't Come Back

I was going to reup my membership and give it a go again but no not now. Two of three tournaments in classic the holes were on hills. You have to be so precise that a slight miss and your off 30 ft or more. It is not this tough in the pros and I watch the pros. Maybe one hole or two but 10 or 12. Give me a break. I know I am no one so this post will not matter to anyone. So long.

Sad to hear FR :( No idea what event you might have been playing but amongst the few nasty ones there are so many good tournaments to play. Here's hoping you have a great Christmas and New Year period and the best 2021 and we will see you back on the Links enjoying the game again.

Check out the Amanti Tour. They have easy, laid back conditions for any skill. Even in Pro, the lack of wind makes for a more enjoyable, in my opinion, tournament as you don't have that variable to be concerned with. I gave the challenging greens a try after being away for years and decided it was too much for me as my reflexes and green reading abilities aren't what they used to be.

Thanks for the encouragement. I may try some of the suggestions. It has been more than a year since I quite playing and my skills may be part of the problem but the two I quit were so unreasonably tough because of pin placements on most holes. I have never tried Amanti Tour so how do I get into that? Thanks again.

I'm sure we all know what you meant, Steve, but it was kind of a funny typo.

    Brain is addled. I'm seeing pins in my sleep from all the setups I'm doing  Done 20 or so in the last few days, with a few more still to do once I know the events.

Should have been. Pete and I try to make sure the pins and conditions are as fair as possible. I was typing quickly and didn't check

And you guys both do a fantastic job. Along with Doug's work in the PLSA, LSPN tournaments are in excellent hands.

Unfortunately Pete and I only do Challenging conditions, so do somewhat limit our playing pool :(

I've seen that mentioned before, Dave, but my take on it is this: if either green firmness or green speed exceed the original Slow-Moderate-Fast standard then I consider the round conditions to be "challenging". Even Soft(challenging) and Slow(challenging) exceed the speed of Firm and Fast. :D
