Community Page?

Postby GoBucks on Sat Nov 21, 2020 8:30 am

Am I the only one seeing the "Community" page more like a text page as opposed to the normal format? All the other pages at the site appear normal. Have tried Firefox, Edge, and IE with the same results.

Mine appears to be working normally now. No clue why.

Edit: I just noticed that several members posted yesterday at Links corner that this site was down.

Until this morning the Community section of this site had been as Dave described since late thursday(early friday)for me. For several hours yesterday afternoon into evening the site and the game had a "cannot connect to the DB" message. Making both the site and the game inaccessible.

Exactly what I got and i thought my computer had decided to give up the ghost finally. Didnt know how to make contact with folk to find out if it was a wide problem so I went to twitter. Nobody could help but a few folk who played links and stil do (even if maybe not on here) were full of praise for Links as a game. Still the best around was the general opinion.

Glad to see it back up and running this afternoon for me.

I got the "cannot connect to the DB" message most of yesterday, too.

Many thanks to Mark for getting everything up and running. It never fails when you go out of town and stuff happens, ehh?

The Man goes out of town for a few days and the website goes hay wire. Imagine that. Nothing he can do about until he gets back. Thanks Mark.

Nobody said anything about Mark, i think the majority know the site pretty much runs on autopilot and he checks things once or twice a week. My reply was in response of Pete's post to Dave and Dave's response from what he saw at links corner.
