No irl golf around here today. Nearest fire is about 15 miles from my business in Roseburg. This is the view from behind my shop:

What we're seeing on the news is awful...15 miles is not much!
Be careful & be safe. Best of luck!

Be safe, Rick. You're in my prayers.

Thanks guys. We're not really in any danger where we live (yet), but have friends and family who've had to evacuate. Smoke is pretty nasty though. Fortunately, in the house with the air conditioning on, we can't smell it.

We've been getting a lot of smoke from the Sounthern California fires here in Green Acres. The El Dorado fire which was starting by a "gender revealing" firework that was lit off in a field is only 15 miles from me.

My wife's cousin was staying in his cabin at Big Bear and was told to evacuate, so he had to go back to his home in Yucaipa, which still isn't very far from that fire.

"gender revealing" firework - Some people are just plain idiots.

We're socked in by smoke. Visibility has been 1/2 mile or less since Tuesday. It's supposed to rain next Tuesday. Probably not much, though anything will help.

Yucaipa is real close to where the El Dorado fire started.
