Bucket List

One of the things on my bucket list after retirement( 289 days, but I'm not counting) is to revive the NOREQ league that Gibby and I used to run.

AWESOME! Congrats on the approaching retirement. I'm just over 3 1/2 years now of enjoying retirement.

Gotta have a plan. If you don't have a plan, it can't get screwed up, If you don't set goals, you can't fail.

We ran a league that disallows re-equals. So you can't quit after bad shot take a 2 shot penalty and start over. If you quit it's over dq'd, gone, adios and see you next week.

Sounds good to me. (I've never heard of re-equal...)

I don't remember if special consideration was given to legitimate issues (power failures, dropped isp , etc.) but I don't think so. It's just a freaking game, right? To me (and others, i believe) stop and starters in Links have either never played irl golf, or are the golfers who carry a foot wedge, or an extra ball in the pocket to avoid a penalty for OB or lost ball.

Gibby set up the Pro events, I set up Champ. All events were 1.07 conditions if memory serves me (and mine rarely does).

Not allowing re-qualifying sounds like a great idea! That would eliminate all these losers (Jason13, Wolfhoundman) that constantly do it. There's more to this game than being 1st all the time. Makes me wonder if they play the real game of golf on a real golf course. If they do, they are the ones, when no ones looking moving their ball for a better lie. It's makes sense to have it this way (no re-qualificatons).

OK with me. I'm so bad re-qualifying (whatever that is) wouldn't help me.

It's like back in the old RACE 07 days: the only way I came in first was if I was the last car running...

Basically if you quit a round and then decide you want to replay you'll get a pop-up inside the game that you need to re-qualify. You'll come back here and on current events page in upper right is your My Events, the event with have a re-qualify line that you click on. Then you'll be hit with 2 stroke penalty. Quit again it adds 2 more, max of 8 b4 your completely dq'd.
The 2 stroke penalty is official events, leagues and arcade are different based on who's in charge.
