So, how do you shoot -7 on Fast(C)/Firm(C) at Riviera CC when you only hit 8 FIR and 8 GIR? Chipping in from EVERYWHERE to save par helps.

Have to agree -7 in those conditions and with those missed fways and greens is exceptional

Drik is an excellent benchmark week after week with top scoring your rounds were excellent under pressure. I fear though you will be retiring this week as I don't think there is any likelihood I will get to either of those scores at Riviera this week.

Well JRT you can put your retirement on hold as I squeezed home by the skin of my teeth :o It really isn't an easy course with so many approaches to greens that slope a lot in front of the pin and plenty landing on the downhill on the green. Get the distance wrong or a bad snap ( one you don't get away with  ) and the putt is really hard.

I actually messed up three eagle holes with bad approaches which all missed the green plus two poor putts on the front 9 but i fluked a hole out which was the key thing. Very nervy those rounds so a lie down is due. :)

wadda finish ROY ! ......and by all. You just got em ! well played ! in your situation, I would have CHOKED

considering your 2 par 5 birdies on the back, you were a tad lucky there. Your hole 7 hole out was certainly needed !

its the rough at Riviera that gets me, being the HEAVY stuff. When the snap is off - even at Pro, its ROUGH going !

so i continue on, yes ..... yet to retire
