I think it has more to do with creating courses with the APCD (millions of clicks), by my mouse is no longer reliable.

I've had two mice that have really served me well. They were both mice that come standard with HP computers, definitely not premium mice, but perfect for me and Links.

I've plugged in a new, costlier HP mouse, but I'm not really betting on it. To me, the proper mouse and the speed of its connection is one of two primary keys to playing Links well... the other is eliminating CPU cycles on processes other than Links.

Mine is an antique -- Logitech M100 -- and I'm perfectly happy with it....although it's not always happy with me.

I did use a Logitech years ago and it was a good one... for Links. I just ordered 2 M100s... surely one of them will work.

Thx,

Doug

I needed a new mouse many years ago and had trouble finding a USB plug in. When I finally found the one I like, which is a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical USB, I purchased 6 of them online.

I'll get used to one. Those two HP OEM mice that I had didn't have that bulbous palm bulge. I liked that about those.

I do know if you get a really, really cheap mouse, the micro-switches often click really hard and there's a delay just in that part alone.

have always used Logitechs with Links. My previous one carked it about 3 months ago after having it for more than 10 years.

bought a new black Logitech M100r for $10AUD at Officeworks. Wired USB.
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-corded-mouse-black-m100r-inlog4958

it has a "Goldilocks click" light but not too light....just right ! and its accurate with the links snap too....
