Chris
I had the same thing happen to me at work this week. New keyboard(usb)
with or without ps2 adapter would type in bios but no where else. So i put in and older ps2
keyboard and it worked great. Still not sure. Maybe what terrell said.

doug is 100 percent correcto mundato. even with a usb=>ps2 adapter, the usb keyboard will not work. borrow the old ps2 keyboard for a few minutes and you'll be good to go.

No its not legal to use the same copy of XP on more then one PC, unless you have a corporate license or something along that line. Now can it be done, yes it can there are millions of the same copy of XP on home computers all over the world. And one can run windows updates and it works also just like a bought copy, but when you get down to it none of this is legal.

Chris, if it is an old pc and you are likely to run it offline anyway, maybe try the ubuntu linux o.s.

Or just pick up the oem home xp from the mom & pop pc store (with a part) for under $100.

It depends on what you want to do with the pc though.

Oh & btw....What the heck is Yawn Booolis on.....piggyback, then tackle the goalie? WTH?

I had a heck of a time putting xp on one of my machines. Could be a bit of a lack of ram I guess, but ended up having to install 98 SE and then do an upgrade from there. Took a bit, but seems to be fine now.

Chris. Luckily someone recorded the bonehead shift by Booolis for our youtube viewing pleasure.

Un-[censored]-believable! Luckily, the recent addition of Bryan Smolinski should replace some of Bulis's wasted minutes of ice-time.
