My Surgery

Postby Tresclub on Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:36 pm

I am going in the hospital Friday morning to have surgery. It is a "Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery", where I am going to have my gallbladder removed. They are keeping me overnight, and I plan on being home sometime Saturday morning. Just letting you all know in case you don't get any immediate responses to questions or posts directed to moi.

Good Luck Warren.

My wife had the same surgery last Wednesday as an Out-patient surgery. We went in a 7am and I brought her home by 2pm. Other than a bit sore from the 4 incisions, she is fine and just has to not lift a lot of weight for 4 weeks.

I am sure that you will do the same.

This doctor/hospital has some sort of policy about staying overnight for observation.

4 weeks? That's gonna play hell with my Monday morning and Tueday evening bowling leagues.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Warren. My wife had the same surgery a few years ago and I had her out mowing the lawn later in the week.

I'm praying for your surgery to be successful & for a speedy recovery, Warren. Thanks for all the work you've been doing on getting all these courses added to the Links Tour. :D

My Surgery Has Been Postponed

Postby Tresclub on Thu Feb 08, 2007 5:09 pm

Well, well. I have some good news, and some bad news.

The good news: My surgery has been postponed because the surgeon's assistant is sick.
The bad news: It has been rescheduled for Friday, Mar 9th.

You probably already know this, but take it easy on the greasy fried food until you get that thing out of there Warren. Don't want to trigger an attack and that sort of "fine dining" will do it. If you've already had an attack, you know what I'm talking about.
